Home Learning September 2020 Onwards

As the COVID 19 pandemic continues to dominate our lives we are doing all we can to ensure that your children receive the best education possible. Whilst the Government have stressed their intention to keep schools open we must also ensure that we focus on the safety and wellbeing of our whole community.
If your child is asked to isolate they must follow Government guidelines and remain at home (unless absolutely unable to do so) and not socialise with anyone outside their immediate family bubble for the length of their isolation time - usually 14 days from the last opportunity for infection. In the event of this happening school will notify you of the earliest date that your child can return to school. For further advice please see the Government website here: How to self isolate: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/self-isolation-and-treatment/when-to-self-isolate-and-what-to-do/
In the event of your child being asked to isolate school will continue to provide high quality education through remote working. The Foundation Stage and Key Stage One will be set work via dB Primary and Key Stage Two will be set work through Microsoft Teams. Children have been given their log ins for their various learning resources so please see your child's class teacher if you are ensure.

Online Safety
At Sankey Valley St James CE Primary School, we understand the need to continually deliver high quality education, including during periods of remote working – whether for an individual pupil or many. We recognise the importance of maintaining high expectations in all areas of school life and ensuring that all pupils have access to the learning resources and support they need to succeed.
Below are links to resources that will help us ensure all children are learning safely online.
