At Sankey Valley St James' Primary School, we are committed to safeguarding our children to ensure that they are safe from harm and can thrive to live happy, safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. 

We work hard to ensure that time is given to anybody from our school community who wishes to share a concern or seek advice. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed below.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare.  We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his or her parent/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move may be contrary to a child's welfare. 

If you have any concerns that a child or adult is at a risk of being harmed or you are concerned about the behaviour of someone towards the children or adults in our school, please contact a member of our Safeguarding Team below:
