Welcome to Year 3
My name is Mrs H Lane and I am the class teacher for four days a week and our deputy headteacher, Miss L Wheeler is the teacher on a Thursday. Mrs M Williams also works in our class as a teaching assistant.
Our aim in Year 3, is to make the transition across the key stages exciting and fun, whilst encouraging the children to take a real responsibility for their own learning. The children are supported in becoming more effective and independent learners by developing lots of their skills, as well as learning new one.
Each half term in Year 3 there will be a different unit of work which will link some of the subjects together. Some subjects are taught discreetly. The children will have weekly PE lessons with a specialist teacher as well as their class teacher.
