Welcome to Year 1! 🌟
We are thrilled to welcome your children to Key Stage 1! Our main goal is to ensure a smooth, happy transition from the Foundation Stage. We build on your child's Reception experiences by keeping learning through play an important part of our day, while gradually easing into more formal learning to keep everyone motivated, curious, and eager to learn.

Phonics: Daily interactive sessions to master new sounds, practice blending, and build strong decoding skills.

Literacy: Nurturing independent and creative writers! Children will explore fiction, non-fiction, and poetry through regular guided reading, writing sessions, and daily book exploration.

Maths: Consolidating core skills and putting them into practice through hands-on problem-solving and reasoning challenges.
